Justin A. Hay

Justin Hay is a business-minded maven who helps clients seal strategic agreements and resolve complex corporate challenges. He leverages a strong background in finance – and experience supporting a diverse set of industries including banking, health and wellness, and sports – to help companies sidestep risk.

Past Experience

Justin started his legal career with an internship with the Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic in conjunction with the University of Cincinnati College of Law. During his time with the startup incubator, Justin drafted operating, partnership and sponsorship agreements to mitigate potential risk to Cincinnati-area entrepreneurs. He also advised local entrepreneurs on relevant nonprofit and limited liability company issues. He parlayed those experiences into a legal externship with Macy’s, a summer associate role with Faegre Baker Daniels and a legal internship with Major League Soccer club FC Cincinnati. As a result, Justin brings a broad-based understanding of nonprofit, corporate, commercial, and labor and employment issues.

Prior to taking the plunge into law, Justin worked in finance. He served as a junior field examiner for Crestmark Bank before moving into a financial analyst role with fitness and health improvement program provider Tivity Health, Inc. (formerly known as Healthways, Inc.). As a financial analyst there, Justin helped manage $85 million of revenue. He later transitioned into a senior financial analyst role, where he directed the employer market operations finance team in the forecasting of revenue and expenses for approximately 50 accounts.

Personal Interests

As a former NCAA Division I athlete, Justin continues to enjoy playing and watching soccer in his spare time.
