Overview
Sara Block develops estate plans and drafts estate planning instruments for individual clients at all levels of complexity. She administers complex estates, including artwork collections, military honors and benefits, and 2032A special use valuations. In addition, Sara provides in-depth counsel on the tax consequences of certain transfers.
Sara also has substantive experience supporting tax-exempt organizations at every stage. Boards engage her for guidance on formation, fundraising, expenditure responsibility, conflicts, good governance, wind-ups and dissolution.
Previous Experience
Sara previously worked at another Am Law 50 firm, where she operated in a similar capacity in the trusts and estates practice group. Prior to that, she was an associate at Faegre Drinker’s predecessor firm, Drinker Biddle & Reath.
While in law school, Sara externed for the Honorable Virginia M. Kendall (N.D. Illinois), wrote for the Texas International Law Journal, and worked for the Center for Women in Law.
Personal Interests
Sara enjoys knitting, hiking and spending time with her dog.
