Lauren’s project management skills help clients hit milestones and complete deliverables on schedule. She leads day-to-day project management, creates strategic presentations and written deliverables, and conducts stakeholder engagement. Lauren helps clients identify and overcome challenges to better achieve their missions.

Patient Advocacy

Lauren collaborates with patient advocacy organizations on strategies that advance their patient communities’ interests across the research and health care spectrum, including:

  • Federal support of research: Lauren helps clients advocate for funding and resources for medical research at agencies such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Department of Defense (DoD). This includes working with Congress on appropriations bills and engaging directly with agencies to ensure that research dollars are spent on the topics of greatest need.
  • Patient-focused drug development (PFDD): Lauren helps clients develop and execute strategies to ensure that the patient voice is represented in drug development. This includes building partnerships with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and biopharmaceutical companies and helping clients conduct patient surveys, organize PFDD meetings and respond to regulatory actions.
  • Health care access: Lauren works with clients to develop strategies to address access concerns facing patients with rare and more common diseases in collaboration with key stakeholder groups, including health care providers, biopharmaceutical companies and health plans.

Federal Government Experience

Prior to joining Faegre Drinker Consulting, Lauren served as a management consultant to multiple federal agencies. This gave her a strong understanding of federal acquisition and approaches for pursuing federal contracts and grants. Lauren now supports clients’ federal business development strategies, including assessing contract/grant opportunities, identifying clients’ differentiators for serving the federal government and cultivating relationships with partners. She also brings substantive experience working with the Department of Health and Human Services, including the NIH, CDC and DoD.

Strategic Consulting for Nonprofits and Innovative Partnerships

Lauren collaborates with health- and research-oriented clients to help them establish and launch new organizations and partnerships, including public-private partnerships. She helps clients build multi-stakeholder partnerships with federal agencies, industry and nonprofits. She works with clients to articulate goals and identify paths to building a new organization or partnership. Her work in this area spans a variety of topics, from child abuse and neglect to brain health research.
