Jared D. Black



Jared Black counsels clients on litigation and dispute resolution.

Prior Experience

While in law school, Jared interned with the Illinois Pollution Control Board. He drafted standard orders certifying pollution control facilities, accepting settlements and administering citations; conducted legal research and wrote memoranda to assist hearing officers with contested motions; and reviewed existing board regulations, suggesting edits for clarity.

Prior to law school, Jared worked for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center as a simulation specialist, where he planned and implemented health care simulation events; coordinated standardized patient events, including quality control; and collaborated with faculty to ensure scenario programming, coordination of scheduling and internal resources, and comprehensive event documentation.

Personal Interests

Outside the office, Jared enjoys watching basketball and soccer, listening to podcasts on economics and current events, and playing with his dog.
