Robert R. Anderson



Robert Anderson partners with real estate owners, developers, landlords and tenants to negotiate and complete complex real estate transactions, address operational and legal concerns, manage risk, and devise and execute feasible growth strategies. Having spent eight years as in-house counsel at one of the fastest-growing private homebuilding companies in North America, Robert understands the dynamics shaping the marketplace and how to take real estate deals to completion. He has drafted and negotiated all manner of real estate and commercial contracts and has been the lead attorney for more than 500 real estate deals with a combined value in excess of $2 billion.

In-House Corporate Counsel Experience

During his time as corporate counsel, Robert managed all legal activities for the company’s three largest divisions in Raleigh, Charlotte and Atlanta. Additionally, Robert handled numerous real estate transactions in Pittsburgh, Morgantown, Greenville, Charleston, and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Robert also served as a non-voting member of the corporate land acquisition committee and as a key adviser to the executive team on strategic operational initiatives. In addition to his transactional experience, Robert managed outside legal counsel on litigation and regulatory matters, including issues related to construction defects, employment matters, contract and insurance disputes, and tort claims.
