Partnering with Co-Counsel, Clients, and Business Personnel to Succeed in Cross-Border Litigation

Michael C. Zogby, co-chair of the Products Liability and Mass Tort Group and Pharma and Life Sciences Group, and associate Kaitlyn E. Stone co-authored “Partnering with Co-Counsel, Clients, and Business Personnel to Succeed in Cross-Border Litigation” for the IADC Annual Meeting, in association with the presentation on “Globalization and the Internal Challenges of Multinational Litigation.” Nicole B. Boehler of Squire Patton Boggs LLP, Böblingen, Germany; Jaimmé A. Collins of Adams and Reese LLP, New Orleans, Louisiana; and Deirdre R. Kole, Johnson & Johnson, New Brunswick, New Jersey also co-authored the article and participated on the panel on July 9, which Mike organized and moderated, and to which Kate contributed excellent research and preparation assistance.

The article discusses cultural challenges relating to U.S. mass tort and multidistrict litigations, and how to respond to questions from business partners about how and why certain litigation needs must be met.
