Time to Focus on Cybersecurity in Health Care

Washington, D.C. counsel Katherine Armstrong and of counsel Lee Petro contributed an article to Law360 titled “Time to Focus on Cybersecurity in Health Care.”

In the piece, Katherine and Lee discuss recent legislative developments in the cybersecurity space, including the Trump administration’s executive order for agency cyber assessments, the Health Care Industry Cybersecurity Task Force’s recent report, and the U.S. Government Accountability Office’s report addressing cybersecurity protections for “internet-of-things” devices.

They also highlight the urgency of identifying potential risks in health care cybersecurity, especially in light of the WannaCry global attack, concluding with an overview of the government’s next steps to identify and neutralize cybersecurity risks, particularly in the health care domain.
