Amie Peele Carter Discusses Trademark Law Disparagement Standard with The Indiana Lawyer

An Asian-American band recently filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for denying their potentially offensive trademark request. In an article for The Indiana Lawyer, Faegre Baker Daniels partner Amie Peele Carter shared how the USPTO may become “flooded with applications to register disparaging trademarks” if the justices rule this case as a violation of free speech.
