Bo Kemp to Chicago Tribune: Untapped Potential in Gary, Indiana's University Park Neighborhood

The city of Gary, Indiana recently received a federal Choice Neighborhoods grant designed to enable city officials to draft long-term improvement plans for the University Park neighborhood. Bo Kemp, senior director for FaegreBD Consulting and director of the City of Gary Economic Development Corporation, told the Chicago Tribune that the neighborhood, which connects the campuses of Indiana University-Northwest and Ivy Tech, could become an attractive residential area.

“We’d like this to be a neighborhood where you don’t need to have a car to get to your job,” Kemp said.
