Advocating for Meaningful Participation

Chanda Miller and Aviva Reinfeld wrote an article titled, “Advocating for Meaningful Participation,” for the Philadelphia Bar Reporter regarding their experience representing a child with disabilities and her parent in a due process hearing against the School District of Philadelphia. The case was based on the District's failure to provide the requisite translation and interpretation services the parent needed to participate in conversations and decisions regarding her child's Individualized Education Plan.
