Sequestration – Where are We Now?
On Thursday, September 4, Morning Consult published District Policy Group President Ilisa Halpern Paul’s latest column, entitled “Sequestration – Where are We Now?” Written in response to the Congressional Budget Office’s (CBO) new report on the “caps on discretionary budget authority in effect for each fiscal year through 2012,” Ilisa explains that, though sequestration is a possible outcome of the current fiscal climate, we are more likely to see the implementation of another Continuing Resolution (CR) in order to fund government operations beginning on October 1 – the start of the new fiscal year.
