State Regulation of GHG, Act 70, and the Commonwealth's Climate Action Plan

Overview

Mark C. Hammond served as a course planner and will also speak at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s First Annual Power Law Conference.  Mark, a member of the Environment and Energy Practice Group, will speak on the regulation of greenhouse gases under state law.  His presentation will focus on Pennsylvania’s implementation of Act 70, which established a Climate Change Advisory Committee and resulted in the issuance of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Climate Change Action Plan on December 18, 2009.  This Action Plan, presented to the Governor and the General Assembly, recommends implementation of a number of wide-reaching proposals intended to reduce GHG emissions within Pennsylvania.
