National Athletic Trainers’ Association Annual Symposium

Washington D.C., Government Relations Director Jim Twaddell participated in the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Annual Symposium.
On Thursday, June 24, Jim participated in NATA’s “Face Time” event, during which participants could ask any and all questions of NATA board members, committee chairs and others involved in NATA’s efforts. The following day, Jim co-presented the 2010 Legislative Update to the Young Professionals’ Committee. The presentation, “Our Legislative Battle: How Much Do You Really Know,” provided guidance on advocacy activities and stated NATA’s legislative priorities for the 2nd Session of the 111th Congress. Jim also gave a presentation to NATA’s Board of Directors, in which he updated them on the organization’s federal legislative objectives and reviewed efforts from the previous year, as well as discussing efforts to be undertaken in the upcoming year.
