Chicago partner Kathleen Murphy served on a discussion panel “Analyzing the Optimum Reporting Structures for the Trade Compliance Department” at the Marcus Evans 4th Import & Customs Compliance Conference.  Kathi discussed the strengths and weaknesses of different reporting structures currently in place at leading organizations; how to identify which model may work best for your organization; and how to create strong awareness at various levels of your organization, including how to obtain buy-in from upper-management, strategies to make the determination of reporting structure more executive decision-based, and how to secure funding and resources appropriate to your mission.  The conference took place May 11 and 12 in Washington, D.C.
