Lessons From Hillary: The Challenge of Ensuring A Complete Public Record of the Activities of Government (And Access To It) in the Digital Era

On September 29, Washington, D.C. of counsel Jason R. Baron spoke at the 3rd International Council of Archivists Annual Conference in Reykjavik. The conference explored how the concerns, research and work of archivists and records managers contribute to the fundamental societal goals of information security and protection and the support of civil rights, particularly in the modern world of open data.

Jason's presentation discussed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's use of a private email network for the conduct of diplomatic business, the implications behind her use of the private email network, and served to better inform archivists and decision makers on their duties and responsibilities in the digital age.
