Recent Developments in the Law Pertaining to Claims for Misappropriation of an Idea

Overview

On Friday, May 20, Christine Baker will be speaking on, “Recent Developments in the Law Pertaining to Claims for Misappropriation of an Idea.”  The seminar is being presented by the Intellectual Property Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and NJ ICLE.  Although New Jersey courts have recognized claims for misappropriation of ideas for over thirty years, recent case law has refined the elements of such claims, and clarified what must be proven to prevail.  Ms. Baker is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, handling intellectual property, real estate and other commercial disputes.
