Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies

PACT Investing Strategies Event Sponsored by Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP

Philadelphia partner Steve Burdumy and Princeton partner Ian Goldstein hosted a Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies’ (PACT) Investing strategies program on April 27, 2011, in the firm’s Philadelphia office.  The program drew more than 70 attendees from a wide variety of industries, including alternative energy, biotechnology, business services, consulting, financial services, health care, information technology, life sciences, pharmaceuticals and software.

Steve, a PACT board member who closed the 2010 merger that formed PACT from the combination of Eastern Technology Council and the MAC Alliance, was the host for the program, while Ian moderated a wide-ranging discussion of the entrepreneurial/funding environment and differing investment strategies and approaches that the panelists and their organizations take.  The panel also discussed the key provisions or agreements that become part of the negotiation/deal process, how they differ by industry and investor, what advantages or challenges they present and where the "middle ground/win-win" can be found.
