Effective Responses to Patent Trolls: We Can Cross That Bridge

Washington, D.C., partners Bob Stoll, Bob Skitol and Ron Grudziecki spoke at a Drinker Biddle/NERA joint event titled, “Effective Responses to Patent Trolls: We Can Cross That Bridge” on Wednesday, May 8, in Palo Alto, Calif. Cynthia Bright, Associate General Counsel at Hewlett Packard, USPTO Silicon Valley Director Michelle Lee, and Yale professor Fiona Scott Morton also spoke.

Ron moderated the luncheon program, which provided insights on effective responses to the patent troll problem – including discussion of emerging antitrust counterattacks, challenges to portfolio acquisitions from operating companies that retain roles in subsequent enforcement actions against their rivals, proposed USPTO actions and potential legislative solutions.
