Depression & Mental Health: An Unspoken Stigma in the Law

Washington, D.C. partner Mercedes Meyer will speak at the Federal Circuit Bar Association’s Webcast titled, “Depression & Mental Health: An Unspoken Stigma in the Law,” on Thursday, March 26.

Mercedes will discuss how depression impacts the law and lawyers by looking at some grim statistics for the occupation. She will look at different perspectives as to when, how, and why depression can arise during the course of one’s career, and why organizations and law schools should care. Mercedes will also address tools and provide pointers on how lawyers can help themselves, how they can help others, and how institutions can help.

Mercedes will be moderated by Jim Brookshire, executive director of the Federal Circuit Bar Association.
