Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys

U.S. Duty of Candour

Washington, D.C., partner Mercedes Meyer will present a webinar for the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys in London on Jan. 18.

In the one-hour webinar, Mercedes will discuss practical issues relating to the duty of candor in reporting references and inequitable conduct under U.S. practice in view of four cases (Dayco, McKesson, Larson and Therasense) and their impact after the American Invents Act and the changes to Rule 56.

The talk will include the timing aspects of when to report, the issues behind what to report, and why UK practitioners should care.
