Broadband Policy Summit

Drinker Biddle partner Laura Phillips of the firm's Communications and Media Practice Group will be a moderator at the Broadband Policy Summit, to be held June 1-2 in Washington, DC. Ms. Phillips will moderate the June 1 session "A Bit is a Bit is a Bit:  Does IP Technology Change Everything?" In an IP-world, all transmissions are merely bit streams that look the same, whether they are video, voice or data services.  If IP voice services enjoy a high degree of regulatory freedom, why shouldn’t IP video services?  This panel will explore the implications of treating all communications -- voice, video, or data -- the same in the all digital, all-IP world.
