Big Data and Information Governance: Enabling Big Data Projects by Applying IG Use Cases
Overview
On Friday, September 19, 2014, Drinker Biddle partner Jay Brudz was a moderator during a panel discussion on the UBIC: How Evolving Big Data Can Enable Information Governance Opportunities Luncheon held in New York City.
Many organizations would like to reap the benefits of big data analytics but are not sure how to do it in a way that optimizes value while minimizing risk. Attendees explored the IG implications of big data projects and discussed some of the questions the need to be resolved when deploying a new big data project. The discussion began by tracing out the genesis of the E-Discovery and legal hold use cases, then worked through how to develop user stories and use cases centered on security, RIM, compliance and other relevant functional areas.
