ANNA Volunteer Leaders Orientation Workshop & National Symposium 2010

Overview

Washington, D.C., Government Relations Director Jim Twaddell presented at the American Nephrology Nurses’ Association (ANNA) Volunteer Leaders Orientation Workshop (VLOW) on May 1, 2010, and the ANNA National Symposium on May 2, 2010, in San Antonio, Texas. During VLOW, Jim discussed ANNA's legislative and policy achievements over the past year and ANNA's goals for the implementation of health care reform. He also participated in a pre-conference event for the National Symposium titled, “Current Health Policy, Quality, and Payment Changes: Making It Work.”

ANNA, a client of the Health Government Relations Practice Group, is a national organization of more than 12,000 registered nurses practicing in nephrology, transplantation, and related therapies, who are involved in the supervision and delivery of care to adults and children undergoing treatment for kidney disease and other disease processes that require replacement therapies.
