Ethical Problems in Federal Contracts


Geoffrey T. Keating, Of Counsel, was a panelist at the American College of Construction Lawyers’ Annual Meeting held February 17-20, 2011, in Key Biscayne, Fla.


Geoff, a member of the Commercial Litigation Practice Group in Washington, D.C., participated in a panel discussion called “Ethical Problems in Federal Contracts” which addressed recent developments in ethical and fraud issues in federal government contracts, and in contracts funded with federal dollars and with other governmental entities.  Geoff’s presentation, “Fraud & False Claims in Federal Contracts,” focused on the False Claims Act and the Contract Disputes Act, as well as the federal government’s efforts to combat fraud in contracting.
