ABA Antitrust Law Spring Meeting

High Tech Antitrust Disputes

Howard Morse, partner in the firm's Antitrust and Trade Regulation Practice Group, is a featured speaker on a panel at the ABA Antitrust Law Spring Meeting, held March 29-31, 2006 in Washington, DC.  The presentation titled "High Tech Antitrust Disputes" concerns two often interrelated questions involving the application of antitrust to the new economy: When can licensing or exercising intellectual property rights transgress the antitrust laws? In what circumstances does standard setting present antitrust risks? The panel’s discussion is conducted through the lens of several recent cases, including Rambus, Phillips, Xerox and the recently filed Broadcom v. Qualcomm, Inc. and ADM v. Intel Corp. matters.
