Navigating the Risks of Trade Compliance - Can You Afford Not To?


Chicago Director of Trade Security & Supply Chain Services Karen Lobdell will serve as the closing keynote speaker at the 2010 National Shippers Strategic Transportation Council Logistics Conference, April 28, 2010, in Orlando, Fla. NASSTRAC provides education and advocacy for shippers and carriers, and the focus of this year’s annual conference will be an insight into changing industry dynamics and the resources and networks needed for solid supply chains. Karen will discuss navigating the risks of trade compliance in her closing speech. While companies will want to maintain their low-cost structures as the economy improves, they must still ensure that they are complying with international trade regulations. Karen will discuss why trade compliance and logistics go hand-in-hand and the importance of shared responsibility to mitigate risk in the supply chain. Karen will also participate in the conference luncheon roundtable discussion on the Importer Security Filing April 27, 2010.
