Are We Already Living in a "Black Mirror" World? A Conversation About AI, Law, and Corporate Ethics

Overview

Washington, D.C., of counsel Jason R. Baron spoke at the Cardozo Data Law Initiative’s conference “Are We Already Living in a ‘Black Mirror’ World? A Conversation About AI, Law, and Corporate Ethics” in New York City on October 29.

In the opening session, Jason and co-presenter Richard Kessler of KPMG discussed how information governance policies provide a framework for discussing the future of artificial intelligence, and the legal and ethical issues that corporations will be facing in the near future, with special emphasis on the expanded use of algorithmic “scoring.”

After the opening session, a distinguished panel of speakers continued the discussion, including Keri-Ann Bent, Julia Brickell, Emily Fedeles, the Hon. James C. Francis IV, Manfred Gabriel, and Prof. Felix Wu.

Jason serves as a member of the Board of Advisors of the Cardozo Data Law Initiative.
