Patent Practice Updates

Bob Stoll, Washington, D.C. partner and co-chair of the intellectual property practice group, keynoted a CLE event, “Patent Practice Updates,” for the Washington State Patent Law Association in Redmond, Washington on January 17. Bob spoke about current challenges of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and issues that USPTO Director Andrei Iancu may be tasked with in the coming months. Bob was also part of a panel that discussed nuances of drafting and prosecuting patents in the field of artificial intelligence. The event, hosted on the Microsoft campus, had over 100 attorneys in attendance.
