Bennett Borden Speaks at Big Data Conference in Paris


Washington, D.C. partner and Chief Data Scientist Bennett Borden spoke about predictive analytics and the ethics of algorithms at the 4th International Conference on Big Data Analysis and Data Mining in Paris, France.

On the first day of the conference, Bennett addressed the conference in a session titled “Predictive Corporate Misconduct,” discussing strategies for companies to predict and prevent employee misconduct by leveraging data living in their network and predictive analytics technology.

On the second day, Bennett delivered remarks on the ethics of algorithms in a session titled “Big Data Winners and Losers: The Ethics of Algorithms.” He described a fine line that companies should walk to balance data privacy concerns while maximizing the use of data.
