Faegre Drinker 2024 1L Opportunities

Faegre Drinker seeks applications from 1L law students interested in a 2024 Summer Associate position in one of the following cities: Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Des Moines, Florham Park, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, DC.

We offer all summer associates a wide-ranging experience that includes opportunities to learn about the practice of law, the firm and the communities in which our lawyers work and live. Each summer associate has a support team that provides a variety of work assignments, as well as valuable "out-of-office" experiences and client contact. Our summer associates receive detailed feedback on their work, including an interim evaluation session and a final review.

The anticipated initial weekly salary range for someone who is hired into this position is $2,884 - $4,135.

Actual initial salary will be based on the location of where the position is filled and consistent with applicable law.

2024 1L Summer Associate (Twin Cities Diversity in Practice) 

Description

Faegre Drinker provides fellowship opportunities in our Minneapolis office in partnership with the Twin Cities Diversity in Practice (TCDIP) program. Our program offers both a traditional law firm clerkship, as well as experience working in-house with a corporate law department. TCDIP Summer Associates are also considered LCLD Scholars and will participate in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (“LCLD”) 1L Scholars Program.

About the TCDIP Partnership

In 2024, our corporate law department partners will include Target, Allina HealthBoston ScientificCargillXcel Energy,  Pentair, Intact Insurance, and Wells Fargo. In addition to a paid summer associate position with a “rotation” (typically 3-4 weeks) at one of these clients, participants will have an opportunity to attend networking receptions and educational seminars through TCDIP.

2024 Entry-Level Associate

Job Description

Current 3Ls are encouraged to submit application materials for an entry-level associate position by submitting a cover letter, resume, law transcript, and writing sample. As we evaluate our needs for the 2024 entry-level associate class, we will contact you if our practice group needs meet your background and interest.

The anticipated initial annual salary range for someone who is hired into this position is $150,000 - $215,000.

Actual initial salary may be above or below the above-identified range and will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location of where the position is filled and consistent with applicable law.  The initial salary range listed above is just one component of Faegre Drinker's total compensation and benefits package for attorneys, which includes, but is not limited to, productivity and discretionary bonuses; life, health, accident and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
