Drinker Biddle Achieves Mansfield Certification Plus for its Commitment to Diversity in Leadership

Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP is proud to be recognized by Diversity Lab as a Mansfield Certified Plus firm -- one of the “trailblazing law firms” that demonstrated meaningful progress in creating diverse leadership teams and developing diverse pipelines to leadership.

Diversity Lab identified 64 firms as “Mansfield 2.0 Certified,” for affirmatively considering at least 30 percent women, lawyers of color, and LGBTQ+ lawyers for leadership and governance roles, equity partner promotions, formal client pitch opportunities, and senior leadership positions.

Drinker Biddle was one of only 50 firms nationwide to receive the “Plus” certification, not only for meeting the pipeline requirements but also for successfully reaching at least 30 percent representation in a notable number of current leadership roles.

The Mansfield Rule was one of the winning ideas from the 2016 Women in Law Hackathon hosted by Diversity Lab in collaboration with Bloomberg Law and Stanford Law School. The Mansfield Rule is named after Arabella Mansfield, the first woman admitted to the practice of law in the United States, and was inspired by the NFL’s revolutionary Rooney Rule.

Drinker Biddle is pleased to be participating in the next iteration — Mansfield 3.0 — which adds lawyers with disabilities to diverse candidate pool targets.
