Kristina Littman Named Chief of the SEC’s Cyber Unit
Alumna Kristy Littman was named Chief of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Cyber Unit on December 2, 2019. The Cyber Unit is a specialized unit within the Division of Enforcement that focuses on protecting investors and markets from cyber-related misconduct. Kristy is just the second head of the Division of Enforcement’s Cyber Unit, which was founded in 2017.
Kristy joined the SEC in 2010, previously serving as a trial attorney and investigative attorney in the Division of Enforcement, as counsel to the Director of Enforcement and most recently as Senior Advisor to SEC Chairman Jay Clayton. In her role as Senior Advisor, Kristy was the lead advisor to the Chairman on matters involving the Division of Enforcement and Commission adjudications as well as regulatory and policy matters relating to cryptocurrencies and digital assets, international affairs, trading and markets, and investment management.
Kristy joined Drinker Biddle in 2006 and was a member of the Litigation practice group resident in the Philadelphia office. She earned her J.D. and M.B.A. from Rutgers University School of Law, Camden and her undergraduate degree from Florida State University.
