Jones represents clients in international arbitrations, with a particular focus on companies in the oil and gas, mining, metals, pharmaceutical and financial services industries. He has represented clients across various high-value and complex international arbitration cases, both under institutional rules — including the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) — and ad hoc.
Jones has handled arbitrations across a wide international scope that encompasses South Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, the Caribbean and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Jones also represents investors in arbitrations arising out of Bilateral Investment Treaties (BITs) and in contractual claims against states. He has represented investors in matters on three continents with claims valued in the hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars.
