Bob Stoll Comments on Confirmation of U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Director Andrei Iancu

Bob Stoll, partner and co-chair of the intellectual property practice in Washington, D.C., was quoted in a WHBL article first published by Reuters, “Lawyer Andrei Iancu Confirmed to Lead U.S. Patent Office.” Nominated by President Trump in August, Director Iancu will manage a staff of about 12,000 patent and trademark staff that grants patent protection to more than 300,000 inventions each year. Bob is hopeful for Director Iancu’s tenure and says that Iancu is regarded as a “consensus pick” who will balance the rights of patent holders and accused infringers.
