Exelon's Yesenia Villaseñor Selected as Recipient of the Hispanic National Bar Association's 2016 Top Lawyers Under 40 Award
Alumna Yesenia Villaseñor has been selected as a recipient of the Hispanic National Bar Association's (HNBA) 2016 Top Lawyers Under 40 Award. Yesenia was selected from a large pool of highly qualified candidates from across the country. The HNBA's "Top Lawyers Under 40 Award" celebrates and highlights the accomplishments and contributions of HBNA members who have distinguished themselves in the legal profession. She is being recognized for her outstanding professional achievements combined with her exceptional commitment to service.
The HNBA will present Yesenia with her award on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the HNBA Corporate Counsel Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Yesenia Villaseñor is currently Assistant General Counsel with Excelon Corporation. She is also a mother, world-traveler and an advocate for judicial, ethnic and socio-economic justice. Prior to joining Excelon, Yesenia worked in the firm's Environment and Energy practice group and was resident in our Chicago office. She graduated from Chicago-Kent Law School and earned her MS in Environmental Management from the Stuart School of Business. Yesenia also serves as a volunteer and pro-bono attorney for organizations including the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois and Heartland Alliance National Immigrant Justice Center. She has served on the board of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois (HLAI) as well as co-chaired the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois' JD Mentors Program and received numerous recognitions for her pro bono work..
