Ilisa Halpern Paul quoted in The Washington Post

District Policy Group President Ilisa Halpern Paul was quoted in The Washington Post in two articles related to the Supreme Court’s hotly anticipated ruling in King v. Burwell.

In the first, titled, “Health care lobbyists worry GOP will now focus on Obamacare repeal,” which was published before the ruling, Ilisa commented on the other pieces of health care legislation that are moving through Congress, including a series bills recently approved by the house aiming at strengthening the Medicare Advantage program for seniors.

“It’s almost been a welcome relief for folks to be doing things in the non-ACA health care policy space,” she said. “If you have strikedown of the subsidies, then you have all the oxygen in health policy, and money, needing to go toward what to do next with respect to addressing this coverage issue.”

In the second article, titled, “After Supreme Court ruling, a sigh of relief among lobbyists – for now,” Ilisa said “At least for now, we have a period at the end of the sentence for the ACA.”
