Bob Stoll Quoted in Law360’s “Voices of the Bar”

Washington, D.C. partner and co-chair of the Intellectual Property group Bob Stoll was quoted in the most recent Law360 “Voices of the Bar” article titled, “What Shall We Do About ‘Ophan Works’?” The article discussed a recent ruling by a California federal judge that Warner/Chappell Music Inc. does not own a valid copyright on the lyrics to “Happy Birthday To You”, raising the question as to whether it is an “orphan work.”

Bob discussed what should be done to more fairly enable the use of orphan works.

The “Voices of the Bar” series, for which Bob is a panelist, features concise and timely commentary from chosen leading experts in intellectual property law.
