Bob Stoll Quoted in Managing Intellectual Property

Washington, D.C., partner Bob Stoll was quoted in a guest article response by Shelly Knowles of Knowles Intellectual Property Strategies to the USPTO’s explanation of its controversial Myriad guidelines in Managing Intellectual Property.

The article discussed how the USPTO faces a need to instruct the Patent Examining Corps on how to implement the recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions in Myriad and Prometheus.

“I hope the USPTO is reading the blogs and listening to the user community and decides to reissue the guidelines providing the broadest patent eligibility permitted by the Supreme Court decision. The United States leads the world in emerging technologies and limiting patent eligibility beyond what is required by the law will harm our economy and job creation,” Bob said.
