Faegre Drinker Earns Top Marks in 2020 Corporate Equality Index

Faegre Drinker is proud to have received a score of 100% on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2020 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), the nation’s premier benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality.

Faegre Drinker is one of 680 major U.S.-based businesses to earn top marks and designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.

“This achievement is a reflection of our steadfast commitment to making our firm an inclusive and collaborative environment for all employees,” said Maria L.H. Lewis, Faegre Drinker’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer. “We are stronger for our diversity and proud to be recognized alongside so many companies that share our dedication to LGBTQ equality.”

The 2020 CEI rated 1059 organizations, evaluating LGBTQ-related criteria including non-discrimination policies, employment benefits, demonstrated organizational competency and accountability around LGBTQ diversity and inclusion, public commitment to LGBTQ equality, and responsible citizenship.

The firm holds itself accountable for progress in building a diverse workforce and relies on national benchmarking surveys like the CEI ranking, and others such as the Women in Law Empowerment Forum, Working Mother Best Law Firms for Women and Vault/Minority Corporate Counsel Association Law Firm Diversity Survey.

Faegre Drinker also is proud to be recognized by Diversity Lab as a Mansfield Certified Plus firm — one of only 50 “trailblazing law firms” that demonstrated meaningful progress in creating diverse leadership teams and developing diverse pipelines to leadership.
